Who: Anyone
When: Day 76, Evening just as the sun sets
Where: Anywhere (but fourth floor for some extra excitement)
What: Dun dun...
[ The sun's setting on another relatively peaceful day in Thusia, like every other day. But in that brief flicker of darkness between the last rays of the sun fading over the horizon and the lights within HQ activating, illuminating the interior of the building, something happens. What isn't clear, but what is clear that there are now two
large circles painted onto the exterior of the fourth floor windows, fresh and bloody (whose or what's... do you really want to know?) ]
[ They're easy enough to ignore, if you're dedicated to the effort, but what may be harder to ignore is the flickers of very faint light that begin to appear, rising up from the treeline, as the night continues on. They're hazy to make out in the darkness, but as they approach you can see each light belongs to a large beetle-like creature roughly 15 inches long, dark in color and heavily armored over its back and belly with powerful pincers extending from around their mouths. The light comes from the end of a third, long horn-like appendage extending from the beetle's head which twitches and shift, the light flickering on and off as it does so. ]
[ The beetles arrive slowly, but more and more continue to appear, moving to land on the exterior walls and windows of HQ near the two bloody circles, legs dragging over the mark to scoop up what blood they can and lap it up. Soon enough they'll be done with what fresh blood they can gather and begin crawling over HQ's exterior, looking for a way in and something new to eat. ]
[ That, perhaps, will be a little harder to ignore... ]
[[ Creature Information: Drawn by the scent of blood from miles away, they're night dwellers that use the light on the end of their horns to attract prey then move to scratch them with their pincers. The pincers are coated in a substance that prevents wounds from closing, allowing the beetles to continue stalking their prey by the scent of their wound. They use sheer numbers, sharp and jagged pincers capable of delivering hundreds of pounds of snapping force, and sheer determination to overwhelm prey and the armoring on their bodies is incredibly tough. ]]
(( This is an un-run nature-slanted mingle! In which you mingle with each other or nature, depending on your preference. If you would like a nature run, Ten will try to accommodate you so give her a nudge on IRC (she will be slow though, as fair warning), but for the most part she is experimenting with nature-slanted mingles that don't need to be run, so if you'd like to interact directly with nature on your own, you are more than free to with the info provided above. ))[ Intro:
