[At approximately the 3 o'clock hour on day 40, there is a loud, odd noise, a bit like a party blower crossed with an explosion. On the wall in the common area you will find the large, irridescent words:]

Well done.

[And you might be somewhat taken with very obvious changes to the building in the north-east corner of the level 3 common area.

First off, it's low front wall has now been covered with a shining metal counter top, complete with indents and glass covers, rather like any mess hall food line. Beyond that you can see a fully formed, industrial grade kitchen. Metal counters for prep areas, shelving for storage, white ceramic plate, bowls, silverware and glasses. Shelves full of stainless steel pots and pans of every size and need, and drawers full of excellent cooking knives (but having come from Hok, they will instantly go dull if used for any purpose other than cooking). Bakeware can also be found, including sheet pans and bread pans, muffin trays and bunt pans.

Large appliances have been taken care of too. There are at least four large ovens, several gas stovetop burners and a large griddle that has a grill attachment. In the corner there is even a brick oven, perfect for wood fire baking. There are several deep sinks, for cleaning dishes and plenty of space to dry them. An entire shelf is full of bright, durable white towels for the task.

And, if you venture into the kitchen and to the back, you will discover walk in pantry, fridge, and freezer. The pantry has been generously stocked with spices, as well as some basic god given baking supplies: sugar, flour, cocoa, yeast, and so on.

Finally, just outside the kitchen itself, there are several long, mess hall style wooden tables.

Basically, Thusia, you have a fully stocked kitchen, with everything you need to feed the populace, minus the actual food and, of course, chefs.]

[ in the common room today there are two noisy blonds, standing around and putting up signs. Signs letting people know that in the event of maiming, murder, or other miscellaneous mayhem, not to take the law into their own hands, unless they want to be severely punished for their vigilante activity. No, in the case of any of the above, if they have someone they need maimed, they should get their local police force to ~~do the maiming for them~~ take care of the punishment lawfully! ]

What d'ya think, that oughta do it, right? Right out here where everyone can see.

[ Something smells sweet.

It's definitely coming from the long table that is up against the wall there. A pretty woman in red stands nearby, arms folded, a slight smile on her face. ]

You've surely heard from someone . . . If you help me out I'll also end up providing for you. Consider this a task of courage. . .? From one wicked end to another [ she gestures from one end of the table to the other -- along the table's top are small vials with neon colored liquid inside. ].

This end is for the easily frightened [ points to the side that's 'cooler' colored -- blue, violet ] and this one for those with a strong heart [ red, yellow ].

Let's help each other . . .

[ There are seven colors -- Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet -- each with a different effect~. The effects will last anywhere from a few hours to a day depending on how you wanna play it. ]

What: A DEADLY MAZE!!!

[ In one corner of the common room, there is now a terribly difficult and convoluted maze, with icy patches on the floor, knee-high chunks of vegetation, and tripwires. It looks pretty difficult to solve... unless, that is, you can step on ice without sliding to the next wall, or scale knee-high chunks of vegetation, or walk over tripwires without touching them, in which case you can walk right up to him. ]

[ At the center of the maze, a demonling plays his Netherworld knock-off PSP. ]

[A kid in yellow who's looking a bit unsteady on his feet has managed to rig a smallish lizagon to hang mostly upside-down from the top of their open door. He's bleeding it out into a cookpot, and by this point, he's leaning pretty heavily on the wall.]

[ It sure was a long night for those who volunteered to help the hole-sealing effort, full of giant dragonfly swarms and hard physical labor. But eventually, eventually your work was done and Selyir advised you all to rest while the final steps were completed. ]

[ Now it's time to see the fruits of your labor. Head out to the large room and you'll find a series of five 20' wide godly-reinforced glass windows, stretching from a foot off the floor to one foot below the ceiling, set on the far wall. There's a simple black panel with a switch next to each window; flipping the switch causes a matte black shutter to lower on both sides of the window and completely cover it. ]

[ The large gaping hole has been converted into an arched glass doorway, the doors being nearly ten feet tall and capable of sliding into the wall to be opened, with a short balcony leading out to the nearest branch. ]

[ Good job, Thusia. Now check out that view. ]

[ Well before the fog begins to roll into headquarters, every apartment door will hear a series of two knocks on their door simultaneously. Opening the door reveals no one there, not opening the door receives no additional knocks. Either way, a certain godly voice sounds from the nearest shadow to your door. ]

Please pardon my intrusion this evening and I apologize for the urgency of my request. I require assistance tonight in removing the security threat presented by the large hole in the wall by the common area. If you would be willing to assist, I ask that you meet me there and highly suggest you come armed should you have the resources. This task will also require physical labor, so I ask that those not equipped or prepared for combat come as well.

So did you guys notice that Level 3 is slooowly almost clear? That large space toward the bottom just keeps getting larger as trees are pushed back, and the once small 'hole' to the outside is now a pretty epically large opening you can see the jungle outside out of.

Of course, critters can still fly in and make a nuisance of themselves, but there's been less of that lately. Kind of like they have realized that if they do they will be cut up and eaten or sth.

So now it is almost like there is a huge common space for people to hang out in more or less in safety.

So whacha up to Thusians?]

[There is a stew bubbling happily over the fire; leaf "platters" and shish-kebabs(? something-chunks on sticks), salad, a somewhat overcooked stirfry, and a gourd filled with fruit chunks in milky liquid are arranged on the kitchen counter.]

[If you pass through the cleared portion of the main hall anytime after noon, you will be greeted by the rather odd sight of a bunch of floating glass balls, ranging in mass from about golfball to basketball. They are easy enough to avoid but also plenty for all.

There is also a note left on the wall:

"I thought you might all like something to do. You can make one item for yourself - maybe a sculpture for your apartment? - but if you'd like to make something for others and put some heart into it you can offer that kindness to me for a little this or that.

((OOC: Aviy is not running this post! It's mostly for mingling and having stuff to bounce off of.

The glass balls are malleable but not hot! You can pull at them, poke at them with whatever you have on hand, blow on them or whatever to make them into any shape. After an hour of working with them they will start to get a bit harder to manipulate, and in two hours they will be fully set. They also won't float anymore once you are done with them but will until then.

Del's glass is fragile! So while you can make it into any shape, it can't manage any use.

I'll make a top comment where you can leave notice of what gifts you made for others and exchange for smaller items.))
