He said they were gonna save it and eveeeeeeentually maaaaaaaaybe give it to some friends of theirs, even though space was so tight some people were sleeping in the hallways.

[focusing on Kidale] Your girlfriend thinks I said "maybe", so she's decided that means she gets to run around telling people everyone in our apartment is crazy and dangerous even though over half of them haven't so much as looked at her wrong. And she won't even own up and admit she's been wrong doing that.

Then when I call her out on it, she screams at me that I deserve everything I get. And she keeps that up after she has one of her attacks and I try to fucking save her life. And then she cries and cries about how unfair I'm being and says things like if I don't apologize for getting mad about the lies she's been spreading then she'll keep spreading them!

Now she's probably going to start crying again about how I'm mean and unfair and how fucking awful I am and holy fuck all she wants is for everyone to be niiiiice to her because she's so goddamn "nice." Even while she's been threatening to dangerous rumors about me, my sister, and friends of ours living with us who are some of the kindest goddamn people I've met. But obviously it'll all be my fault for not giving in to exactly what she fucking wants.

So yeah. It's important.

By the way, do I seem crazy or dangerous to you right now, buddy? Does this line up with any of the bullshit she's been feeding you about us?

Look, Scowl, I just gave up a year of my life to Leedin. I do want what's right -- more than that, I want you two to stop fighting. But I can't remember if someone said maybe or when or what from...however long ago it was again.

Tell her that too. She needs to understand she isn't as nice as she thinks she's been, and she won't listen to me because she thinks I don't have the fucking right to be angry about any of it. She thinks she's been some saint through all of this. You're a decent person she'll listen to, so make her understand.

It's only fair to warn the new people that they can get hit for talking to you guys. And guess what? That's crazy.

But even so. You complained so much, I stopped warning the new people, even though it means they're in danger of getting hit for being nice to you guys. And you won't even apologise for what you did!

And stopping is a lie since you said to me maybe half an hour ago that you'd "stop talking shit about us" if I apologized for that. Your exact words! How is that anything like stopping? Last, I did apologize for scaring you that time. That's the only thing I needed to apologize for! I'm not going to apologize for not wanting to deal with you after that or for getting mad over the underhanded rumor spreading you pulled!

Becca, please don't spread rumors about people. He's got a point.

At the same time, Scowl, just because you apologized before doesn't actually help anything if you keep acting the way you did before.

Why can't you both just give a little ground?

[She lowers her head a little bit, but nods obediently.]

Fine. But he can't keep being mean to me! I've asked him like five times to be nice to me and he won't and won't apologise for being mean.

And if you guys weren't partially responsible for her hitting me, you'd've tried to stop her or told her she was out of line!

[DOESN'T EVEN HEAR BECCA totally focused on Kidale again. His voice is becoming strained near the end, clearly entering into the limits of his stress]

There's no way you are ever going to get me to slap on a fucking fake smile and play nice with someone who's treated me the way she has.
