Ah... Yes, although that's about as far as my knowledge of this place stretches, I'm afraid. Where am I?

A place called Thusia. The gods of this land have, apparently, torn us from our proper afterlives in order to perform some gardening and hunting duties.

[a pause in which he looks like he might ask something heavy, but then, priorities-]

Ah... depends on the god. In my apartment I only have just plain green and english breakfast. Loose-leaf, of course. If you would like some...?

I couldn't impose, but... I find a good cup of tea can only improve a situation. It isn't every day I die and become a gardener.

I can't promise the quality of it if our tastes differ, unfortunately. I find I've gotten far too used to living in such bare conditions.

Just long enough to grow bored with the place, but thankfully the people keep my attention.

Unfortunately not. I've guaranteed myself some rather luxurious sets for the whole apartment if I can kill a lizagon, however.

Green or black? Tea, that is.

Green, please. -- A lizagon? Does the name describe the creature as basically as it sounds?

A large, red, aggressive lizard-like dragon, yes. I usually hunt the little green ones for food when Aella isn't cooking...

[ doop doop making tea, but looks back at him. ]

Oh, yes... My family has been involved with all manner of creatures for generations. I suppose I can't help myself.

On that note, I do have a question for you.

[ Pours two cups, and brings him one. ]

What, exactly, are you? It is rather troubling to sense one thing and smell another.

[accepting the cup, and pausing for a moment.]

The name of my people has been long since forgotten. It matters little what we're called, now that there are only three--two remaining. We are that which the world chose to forget, if it would ease your mind.

[ bringing him the bag of sugar and a spoon, and sitting with her kimono folded under her knees. ]

Not quite an animal... my goodness, you're an interesting one. In any case, you mentioned being involved with creatures-- I'd like to hear what is was you did back home.

Dogs are horribly disgusting creatures in any case, so I do hope so.

[thinking...] Ah- the shop once housed a Kirin. Have you ever met one?

I would have to disagree, on principle.

Yes, once, centuries ago-- briefly! Very briefly. In fact, she would not say a word to me, but I was such a rude little thing. How did you manage to get one to agree to being housed in a pet shop?

Would you know, I don't think I ever asked? They are so insistent on coming and going as they please. I was simply glad my shop was satisfactory to her.

It was very flattering!

They are quite majestic. And a little stuck up, but don't tell anyone I said that.

Though if you had a kirin visit your shop certainly would not have been just a pet store now, would it...

They might prefer self-assured. And I'll have you know, she did leave the shop with a customer. Of her own volition, of course, but a business transaction all the same.
