[cleared up from the events of last night and whatever earlier moments of the day, the Common Area's now sporting some tables pushed against a wall with food and drink spread out for those who would want something to munch on. opposite of this would be the masked ninja that advertised said meeting, standing in front of the windows, posture in its usual slump and seemingly lazy eye distracted by the views outside. somewhere nearby will also be that blonde people may remember as advertising the police force, pointedly standing with arms crossed, making a point to keep a CLOSE EYE on the people who attend the meeting]

The floor is now open on the topic of rules, regulations, laws, and the like. Basically, feel free to state what you believe should be a rule, how much priority it should have and the like, and we should be able to discuss from there.

Before this goes farther, everyone should be aware that I have spoken to Eizon regarding the mechanics of death and revival here. He has said that no gods currently here have true dominion over death. Subsequently, each revival will begin to increase the cost of the next, as they are reaching beyond their natural domains.

It's something to keep in mind if we're to deal with the consequences of murder...

Obviously, murder should be a priority. I won't go as far to say that assault should be one, as a lot of people . . . mm, prefer to express themselves through physical altercations, but. [handwave]

Though as a suggestion, perhaps starting off with a few base "rules" first, then expanding from there as the need presents itself. Too many rules too fast will overwhelm people.

Definitely the big ones like no killing or attacking people.

Though what kind of consequences those can have without any sort of jail or anything is a bit hard to figure.

...also, there should probably be some sort of rule about those who did something bad in 'their world.' I mean, is it fair people get penalized for it even if they do nothing here?

I'd be happy to leave it at trying to deter violence. Anything else, maybe it could be an option for people to get some neutral parties together to mediate their grievances.

Of course stuff about murder and when violence isn't acceptable. Probably things like stealing too, even if it doesn't seem like that's a problem so far.

And what we should do for more complicated situations. Like people deserve a chance to defend themselves if it's one of those cases where it isn't cut and dry.

--I agree. A neutral party to explain the situation and try to resolve it in a calmly manner that can appease both parties. Like say, a lawyer.
