while the rest of ya'll were trying to do sensible things like learn about the situation, Slick decided to take himself and his godmode to go kill everything as a nice little stress reliever

UNFORTUNATELY he didn't figure out that he'd been power capped.

So after a rather short and unpleasant exploration, Slick stumbles back to the apartment, bleeding heavily. Mostly from a dozen or so long claw marks on his back and a few heavy, deep bites on his shoulders and arms.

[there is an automatic dimming of the light, of both that flower and all of the flowers on that vine, to your left. However, they continue to give off a fair amount of light regardless]

[the room ahead appears to be well lit and viney! surely nothing unsafe is in such a bright and accessible area]

[you can't SEE anything that looks dangerous... not even a bloodtrail, come to think of it...]

Where did he go? There should have been a trail of blood from our door to wherever he was injured.

... That's strange.

[looks back towards the door they came from for any trace of blood and direction]

[you get a smudge going off toward the right, but between the vines and moss and other things growing on the floor, it's hard to see any traces of red...]

Normally there would be blood on top of everything else after wounds like that, don't you think, Sir Scifo?

[you enter into a foyer, the same size as the one you just exited, only with more vines and less doors. Thick black vines form a half curtain, but they can be pushed aisde, or ducked under, or cut...

You also hear, briefly, a chittering from the room beyond, but it goes silent quickly]

[signals for anyone behind him that there's something there before reaching to gingerly push aside the curtain of vines with one switchblade]

[taps his shoulder and uses his sword to push them further]

[the vines are pushed aside easily. the room beyond is green and more green, though there are some bright mushrooms in the corner, and what appears to be a pile of shining flowers as well...

Nothing moves though, but you also can't see much of the room from here.]

[Well, since your sword has more reach I guess I'm letting you go first]

The mushrooms might be good for eating, later...

[as soon as you entire the room something narrow and about the size of a dog jumps off the wall and onto you with a high shriek]

[bringing his sword up to defend]

[your sword blocks, but doesn't draw any blood, and the creature -- green, scaled, and skinny, drops to the ground to wind around behind you.

But if that seems like it might be too easy to deal with, don't worry! There is a second one jumping at you by way of the wall again]
