Who: Slick and friends
When: Day 1, still morning...
Where: Apartment A

while the rest of ya'll were trying to do sensible things like learn about the situation, Slick decided to take himself and his godmode to go kill everything as a nice little stress reliever

UNFORTUNATELY he didn't figure out that he'd been power capped.

So after a rather short and unpleasant exploration, Slick stumbles back to the apartment, bleeding heavily. Mostly from a dozen or so long claw marks on his back and a few heavy, deep bites on his shoulders and arms.

What is it?

Some sort of creature, but I've never seen anything like it, dismembered or not. Freshly dead looks like, no sign of decay. But there's no blood anywhere, even with these wounds...

So something else here attacked it...

And mostly likely consumed its blood while leaving the flesh behind.

[leans in to examine the cuts]

[RIDICULOUSLY clean. totally impossible this was a sword, even a very sharp one

Also, as you look, you can see something beginning to peak out, notable because otherwise the edge of the severed head is so clean...

looks like tiny roots!]

[ARE THEY MOVING ROOTS]

There are creatures here capable of doing that?

There's no blood, but most of the body looks like it's here. The cuts are too neatly done.

Do you have a small knife or dagger on you, by any chance?

I'm afraid not, but I can manage a delicate cut with my blade.

Can you cut some of these tiny roots off?

[after dropping some dead lizards off, Yuri wanders in. right shoulder/collarbone area looks like it was clawed pretty thoroughly :D;]

[also following, though more slowly since one leg was bitten. Also his hands are gnawed up...]

Well, we got dinner, and probably enough to heal Slick.

Cut further, it could just be the moss trying to grow back.

[no blood huh?] Did you two happen to run into whatever took the head? [doesn't look up either]

[mooore roots. they are making this body obnoxiously difficult to cut

however as you hack and slash, you might notice that the pretty color changing flower on top of the 'moss' has curled in upon itself]

I think I saw a head in the other room. But we had our arms full.

Perhaps the creatures we caught intended to eat it? They couldn't have done this though...

These plants are quite insidious...

Stop, stop. [gesturing to Flynn, eyeing the flower]

[ Pauses. ]

What is it?

It's the flower that took up the blood. If I'm right, every one of those color changing flowers has a body under it.

[looks up finally, double takes at the other two] Sweet O- [ff NO NOT INVOKING GOD NAMES HERE] What happened to you two?
