Who: Slick and friends
When: Day 1, still morning...
Where: Apartment A

while the rest of ya'll were trying to do sensible things like learn about the situation, Slick decided to take himself and his godmode to go kill everything as a nice little stress reliever

UNFORTUNATELY he didn't figure out that he'd been power capped.

So after a rather short and unpleasant exploration, Slick stumbles back to the apartment, bleeding heavily. Mostly from a dozen or so long claw marks on his back and a few heavy, deep bites on his shoulders and arms.

Where did he go? There should have been a trail of blood from our door to wherever he was injured.

... That's strange.

[looks back towards the door they came from for any trace of blood and direction]

[you get a smudge going off toward the right, but between the vines and moss and other things growing on the floor, it's hard to see any traces of red...]

Normally there would be blood on top of everything else after wounds like that, don't you think, Sir Scifo?

Yes... There hasn't been enough time for the blood to have faded away, or anything like that.

Something cleaned it up for us.

There are some traces there...

[ Glancing back to where Note and Yuri wandered off. ]

Let's not wander too far, but this may be worth investigating.

[ Drawing his blade. I guess we are going to head toward that blood smear. ]

[another one of those pretty color changing flowers is here, roots disappearing into heavy moss coverage...]

[uses the end of one staff to try and poke the moss coverage aside]

[the moss heaves a bit, then settles. Actually, it has a lot of weight...]

What strange plantlife...

[a LOT of weight. like probably several hundred pounds of weight. But pushing at the moss eventually tears it and reveals what appears to be flesh, and the shifting makes it apparent that what was thought to simply be a mound, is actually a moss covered body of some sort]

[stumbles when the moss tears he'd been leaning into trying to shove it aside so much, but manages to not fall right on the body]

Whew, that was close... [crouches to get a closer look]

[careful inspection of the 'body' reveals a few things!

-it is definitely not human, the moss appears to actually be a part of it's body
-it is about as large as human though, but more the shape of a beast
--but it's hard to tell WHAT it is because it is missing a head and a couple of legs...
-there should probably be blood everywhere but there isn't, and it isn't bleeding
-the cuts on the body are impossibly clean]

What is it?

Some sort of creature, but I've never seen anything like it, dismembered or not. Freshly dead looks like, no sign of decay. But there's no blood anywhere, even with these wounds...

So something else here attacked it...

And mostly likely consumed its blood while leaving the flesh behind.

[leans in to examine the cuts]

[RIDICULOUSLY clean. totally impossible this was a sword, even a very sharp one

Also, as you look, you can see something beginning to peak out, notable because otherwise the edge of the severed head is so clean...

looks like tiny roots!]

There are creatures here capable of doing that?
