[so basically, a recovering from first-day severe injuries masked ninja (because unlike the icon shows, he is wearing a now-blood-stained headband tilted over his left eye) has managed to walk (re: limp) himself to this place before taking a seat, a questionable book in hand, and though it's open it may or may not appear that he's reading it. after all, he hasn't turned a page in almost twenty minutes...]

Stiltwalker?

In the open area... [jutting thumb to the path to the outside] There are some creatures who legs look like thin trees when they're still. They stalk after people before using the bottom of their legs where there are spikes to pin down their prey. They're about... twelve? or so feet tall--their main bodies up near the ceiling and covered in moss. They only come down to feed on the living, pinned prey, from what I've experienced.

Huh... those guys. [shrugs] Seen'em. Didn't bother with'em.

They sort of were considering my roommate and I prey. We had little choice. Plus, they were getting a bit close to the gathering area there. With the gourds.

Their bodies should still be there, if you're interested. Unless they've been cannibalized. We were both too bad off to take anything away.

Tch... [glances in that direction] Might be worth it.

Though you should probably get healed before that. That wound's a bit close to your heart...

[in terms of how easy poison can get to it]

[glances down at his shoulder and shrugs slightly again]

Yeah. [glances at the dragon] I gotta get this taken care of. Catch you later.

[drags his beastie away to butcher it]

[goes back to book since doctor has stopped poking and tiny Robin has stopped asking for training...]

[comes back a while later to settle down beside him]

[has been fed by Becca and now has a couple of dead lizards thanks to Ikki... this guy is quick with connections. peering up from his book]
