[starts up the tree, hopping up branches like a zippy little acrobat]

[ You start climbing up! It seems all right so far. ]

[climbing up a bit slower behind you. it's harder to be fast under these circumstances when you're not a crazy little acrobat]

[ That branch you put your hand on just moved. ]

[jerks his hand back]

[ That's no branch, that's a snake! And it's turning fast to wrap around you! ]

[and I'm still trying to climb the tree down here, not really noticing what's going on above me just yet~]

[ That's all right. Don't notice your boyfriend getting wrapped up and squeezed by a gigantic snake. Bird's on the menu tonight. ]

[kind of hard to warn you when I can't actually inhale]

[glances up, and— OHSHIT. suddenly a whole lot faster in getting up that tree.]

[um. um. how does i killing snake. SHOOTS IT?]

[ That just makes it squeeze and try to escape with dear Robin. ]

[TRYING... TO WIGGLE HIS HAND CLOSER TO HIS UTILITY BELT... it's not going very well]

[grabbing on in case the snake does somehow manage to get away. also trying to shoot it again without hitting Robin]

[ The second shot makes it tighten, then loosen its hold! ]

[sucks in a hitching breath, reaching for the nearest pocket in his belt and pulling out a birdarang. tries stabbing at the snake — the angle's bad, and there's almost no leverage, but it's sharp]

[firing another couple of shots. snake for dinner would make this all so worth it.]

[ All this violencing is just making the snake head further up the tree! Except its grasp is beginning to loosen further as it bleeds out. ]

[cool, I'm just gonna focus on not blacking out and becoming snake chow]
