[You know what the worst thing about coming out of a haze of totally bonkers after being securely tied up and drugged for over a day? You can't just immediately run away.

Needless to say it may be hard to even realize Allen is back to normal for like 15 minutes. Because he's still just lying there. Like a deer. Maybe if I am still enough the headlights of sanity won't totally slam into me and send me reeling oh no too late.]

Regrettable . . . of course. But a lot of things are regrettable. That doesn't mean we don't move on—? And everyone else—they're okay. They really want to forgive you, if they haven't already. For most things.

... The only other way to bring him back was to give up a year of life, and my body would rewind or fast forward one year... it would age memories, too. I thought, I couldn't risk that... something that dramatic a change all of a sudden, and the Noah is a "memory," too... Gerasimos sounded safer in comparison.
