[there are a lot of stray materials, wood and bits of plants spread out on the floor in the hall along with several frogs in a very crudely made cage of twigs. Blaze is just sitting and staring at the mess around him]

I don't think I want to find out how flammable those frogs are...

I... I'm not sure. The necklace connects me to her, so... I like to hold it if I'm doing something difficult. I've worn it ever since I started working for her, so I haven't tried to do anything without it.

I may have to go get something of my own to heal him then. He has to be so stubborn sometimes.

You can't just grab this like a one-use thing. I swore my life to her. Everything I do is in her name now. It's...it's permanent.

I just mean to get something to heal him, not to devote myself to her. I... can't go down that path again.

I don't know if you can get a one-use charm or something. Maybe if you went to Albinia for medicine?

I just don't understand why so many people hate me. It started right when I got here, for no reason, and it's just getting worse by the day.

Are you really that worried about it? It takes a lot of effort to make everyone like you, more than most people would or could ever put into it. And even then, there will always be people who don't like you for reasons you can't and shouldn't change. You should cherish the people who do like you and let the rest go.

I wouldn't worry about it if there weren't so many of them. It's not just having a few people who like me and a lot of people who don't care... There are people who actively hate me, who go out of their way to make me miserable, and they out-number the number of people that care about me. I'm supposed to live here and work here and help out, and half the time I come out of my apartment I get shouted at or called names or smacked around.

You've heard about Sabra by now, I'm sure. That's where I was before I ended up here, and when I first arrived there most people hated me because of the team I was on. They had never seen me before in their lives and they hated me. I don't think I ended up changing many minds on the subject, but I got along fine with the people who didn't hate my guts and I was happy with it. Sometimes fate just isn't in your favor.
