Who: EVERYONE!
When: Day 19, Late Afternoon
Where: All the Apartments. All of them.
What: Becca's bringing around flower arrangements!
[Please put your apartment letter in the subject line and reply to that thread if someone's already answered the door for your apartment. Thanks!]
[Becca's making trips to all the apartments. Since people are in and out of the shrine room, she knocks on one of the bedroom doors in apartment A. Otherwise, she knocks on the hallway door of every apartment. Even apartment E.]
Housekeeping! This'll be quick~!

Let's say you're working on something. Something important to you, that you've been trying to do for a long time. You're interrupted just before you've completed it, taken to a place where you're stripped of most of your powers and all knowledge of the world around you, and told that you're going to do what the ones that brought you there want you to do.
You go along with it, because there's not much choice, but the work is hard, and people get hurt doing work like that, so even though you want no dealings with the ones that brought you, you have to ask them for certain necessities like food and first aid supplies. You would rather manage your own food, but you can't. You would rather make your own medicine, but you can't do that, either. Through a convenient coincidence, everything requires some sort of intervention to make it tolerable.
But that isn't all. You discover that the one that manages medicine and first aid supplies is like- [Falters a beat. Almost said "that other one."] -like something else you've seen before. It's nothing you want anything to do with, and you plan on avoiding it and doing what you can on your own- but then you're told that you can't do that, either. No matter what, you'll be serving its interests.
So what do you do? Let the laundry list of forbidden things keep rising... or find a way around it?

Imagine having all the people you're responsible for die out without you being able to save them!

You've made that clear.
[But she doesn't move and there is a long pause. She got upset and this is a child. That wasn't fair.]
[...and her tone is a bit less cold and she's calm again.] I'm sorry. If there was a way you could have been revived where you were, that you could have completed your task, I'm sorry we took that away from you. That was not our intent.
We meant to offer others the same second chance we want.

Now leave.
[Lifts his staff to point at the door. :|]

I still want to make my point clear.
The stipulations I gave you? The reason I gave them to you, and only you, is because of how you acted. Had you not treated me like I am a monster waiting to feast, I would not have given them to you. Even continuing in how you acted before you knew I was a science god would have spared you the stipulations.
And the punishment was for the same reason. Because your actions? Were foolish. Those sort of actions will get you in trouble with other people, not just gods. Did it make you unhappy that happened? Yes. That's what punishments are. If you act rudely and go out of your way to spite people, it will get you in trouble.
That does not mean, however, I will turn you away in the future. Even if you continue your bad attitude, but more spite will get you another punishment.

[And does move like she's about to go, but then.]
Ah, there was something my sister mentioned.

[He is... not really all that surprised, because that is how his life goes.]
If you're not going, I will. I have better things to do than stand here making idle conversation all day.

I swear by my name that should Ashikawa Mitsuru not become an unprovoked threat to his fellow man and it is not a reasonable request by one above me, I will not take your ice magic against your will.

Not to mention anyone breaking their oath would be highly irresponsible.

And it's irresponsible to leave someone with a fear like that when it will never come to pass.

[And then she'll just be gone.]

[She leans into the warmth.] I shouldn't yell at them about it.

Mayhaps you said too much, my love...

Of all the things that could be held against me, I am blamed for crimes I have not even committed.

... We were not the monsters, as you well know. Put the thought from your mind this instant.

It's just difficult to know that it really was for the best to not have chosen followers. It would only make those sort of things worse.

There is no sense wavering now.
