You look pretty good for... nearly seventy? If you were from my world, I'd assume you were a powerful sorcerer.

Not quite there yet, but it's getting close. My father aged well, himself, but he had some special circumstances.

Yeah, better than most of us. Some didn't even make it out of Sabra alive...

... and I'm told because someone did something to time near the end, no one's memories agree about timing. So you might well remember me alive and well.

But don't tell me about it. If I got married and had kids and a home and all that, it'll just make me depressed to be stuck here.

Not horrible. I've kept busy, and it's not like I'm among strangers. Once you get past the whole 'I'm dead and never going home' thing...

Haah... I've been trying to not think about that part of this, myself.

Has someone explained this place's setup to you?

A little. They've told me that everything's poisoned and I'll need to find an apartment to clear out and live in, but that's about all.

[nods] The gods here say the original inhabitants were killed or starved out by the plants and animals, so we're to replace them. And it's pretty much a crapshoot about who they grab besides 'dead'... which is why they can't return us.

And of course grabbing an unusual number of people who have a connection to Sabra La Tau. I'm not surprised there isn't any way back... I'm just hoping for a way forward.

To rest. To a peaceful place where we can be with our loved ones again.

Of course not! Even if the way out was that easy, I still don't think I could ever do it. There's bound to be another way.

I certainly hope there is. A lot of us are keeping our eyes out.
