I've heard... though so far I've only seen Tide. And the rest likely wouldn't recognize me any better than he did.

I doubt he will. No one has, though a few who knew him have thought I was my father.

Only because they'd met him, I suppose. Growing up, I probably would have beaten anyone who told me I'd look like him to a pulp.

Before Sabra, anyway. Afterward, we finally had a chance to patch things up.

It was good. I finally understood why he did the things he did, and I could forgive him for them.

What about you? You weren't home for long, but was it different, coming back after being in Sabra?

[nolongerslate]

Yeah. Some of it was being human again, but... it took a while to adjust to having a whole world. With things like sunlight and food you didn't have to hunt for. And it took a bit to get used to being alone again, actually.

Ah, I'm sorry you had to be alone... the rest of it, though. There really wasn't anything quite like standing under the open sky again, for the first time.

I wasn't for long. I went back to visit a couple of friends of mine, and we had to track down Gourry -- he was Lina's partner. But it was still a strange experience. Especially since I'd been a loner for so long pre-Sabra -- it was weird realizing how different it felt.

Did he handle what had happened all right?

I think things were changed for everyone, when they left that place. It'd be hard to not be affected by it.

Edward, this is a man that chased after the creator of our universe, who had just killed the Dark Lord Shabranigdo's most powerful lieutenant with the wave of her hand... because she had been summoned into Lina's body and he refused to give up Lina, even if there was good reason to believe there was nothing of her left. If he could have gone to Sabra, he would have challenged the Old Man with a non-magical sword for her. If a Judge had asked, all he'd need to know was that she was there and in trouble.

I brought him back to our friends and promised if I found a lead, I'd come get him. I hope that Lina makes her way home soon, for his sake.

Honestly, Lina needed to get off her ass and just confess her feelings for him. Everyone knew it. Maybe when she gets back...
