Who: Becca and OPEN
When: Day 17, Evening
Where: Hallways, Later Nature
What: Becca is phobic of alcohol. And there's a boozy party going on. This is a bad combination. Eventually she gets spooked and runs out into nature, where she gets killed.

[Becca's out in the hallway, pacing and visibly panicking.]

[ Shaking his head. ] That's not true. It means we only have one entrance to guard to make sure nothing happens.

[She thinks about this for a few moments, then shakes her head and shudders a little.]

I'll wait for Kidale, then, and go home.

[Yes, this is officially 'home' now.]

[ He looks at her suspiciously at the mention of "home". ]

Where?

Home. To my apartment.

[ He sighs, judging her just a little... ]

Why can't you return there now?

Cause I could get trapped in there. There's only one way in or out, and that's dangerous.

That won't change no matter where you are or who you're with... Just stick close to the door and you won't be trapped.

If someone stands in the door, then I'm trapped. It's safer in the hall.

If you say so... What are you afraid of happening in your room?

People are drinking alcohol. They're gonna get violent.

[ He doesn't know them, so he can't say they won't. ]

Then just come in with me and I'll guard the door until Kidale comes back... You're more vulnerable in the open like this.

I can run if I'm in the open.

Run where? You can't get outside--and you don't want to.

From apartment to apartment, up and down the hall.

I don't see how that's any safer than staying in one safe place.

It's what I always do when people are drinking. And it worked every time--I died of something else.

That doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do...

Well it's how I've always handled it and it's worked for me.

Whatever you say... Just be careful you don't run yourself into a corner.

That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

I know that, but if you're running into random rooms to avoid people, you're bound to be stuck in a bad situation - even if it's just people yelling at you for disturbing them.

I'm not that dumb, unless I'm totally cornered. I'll be careful.

This still doesn't seem any better than carefully barricading yourself in one room...

You must not've ever gotten cornered before.

I have. And every time, I put myself in that situation by being hasty and running into it...

[ Thankfully he can usually fight his way out. Usually... ]
