The tree of Vars Truba.

Sounds like an interesting story...

I think so. It goes like this.

[Vars Truba was a first age Dragon-Blooded of wood. She was responsible for overseeing a large nursery for the children of Exalted. When the Usurpation came, she died defending the half caste children. No one knows who enchanted her tomb, perhaps a half caste who she had raised to adulthood, perhaps the lady that she served. However it happened, Truba's body was encased in a sycamore tree in the moments of her death. She's still there, within the tree, having never aged or decayed. As long as the tree lives, Truba sleeps; when the tree dies, so will she. Truba dreams all the time, and her dreams are recorded in the wood of the tree in a language of the tree's own choosing, unknown and alien to any person now alive. Today the tree grows in the Diamond of Nexus.]

[She listens quietly, relaxing as Kidale tells the story. Soon she's just snuggled close to him, resting her head on his shoulder as she listens.]

I've never been out to the Scavenger Lands, much less Nexus, so I couldn't tell you if it's true. But if it is...it's amazing.

It sounds it... I wish I could see it. But I bet there's amazing places here, too. We'll see them all one day...
