Now, it was a cold day, so when the monkey came home, the very first thing he did was start a fire and sit down by it to warm himself. The chestnut waited inside until it was nice and hot, and then it sprang out, burning him. In pain, the monkey ran to the water pail to cool his burns, but the bee was inside- and as soon as he'd reached his hands in, it flew out and stung him. The bee chased him toward the door, but the kelp was on the floor, and the monkey slipped on it and fell, lying half in and half out of the door. The usu looked down and saw where he lay- and rolled right off the roof, crushing the monkey beneath it.
