Oh, that sort of thing. So... you're a knight?

I don't know what you mean by "Night" apart from the darkness when the sun falls behind the mountains, but I am Adjudicator. I keep the Lore, judge Lorebreakers and punish them accordingly.

So an officer of the law, then. Knights are sort of like that. But the place I grew up didn't have much of that kind of thing, so mostly they protected people from monsters or caught them if they fell off the city.

How do you fall off a city? Wait... how do you catch them?

[earthward]

You fall of it when it floats in the sky and you're wandering around in the dark and clearly not thinking things through very well. And in Skyloft, where I was born, everyone has a guardian loftwing. They're large birds we ride on to get from place to place. Knights are the only ones who fly in the dark, though.

You're pulling my leg... how does a city float?

Why, by a goddess telling it to, of course.

Amazing. We haven't had the power to do things like that for millenia.

Well... 'we'... haven't exactly either. The goddess disappeared thousands of years ago. But what she set in place continued to work as it was supposed to.
