Maybe, if you aren't normally the sort to come to meetings, your apartment has been mysteriously broken into and an item taken, with only a ransom note left behind: "If you want to see it again, come to the auditorium on the fourth floor at sunset."

Either way, when you arrive, there will be a pile of stolen goods on the stage, quite unharmed. There will also be a table with various foodstuffs and drinks. The food is quite tasty, and so is the tea. The booze isn't bad either. It must have come from someone with a pretty impressive stash.

On a completely unrelated note, there is one (1) Yakumo Yukari sitting in the front row. She is the picture of innocence, and there is absolutely no way she stole your shit. ]

[Nods back. There's an odd expression on his face, as he looks Chrono over . . . assessing, almost.]

[One arm is obviously missing, the other is held stiffly at his side and bandaged (not that that's entirely visible), and he's probably attempting to ignore a rather severe fever...

Despite that, though, he's not nearly as exhausted as he has been thanks to actually, genuinely taking it easy for a week.]

Not yet. When you are done here, however, please advice those you are with that you have other plans for the rest of the day. I would like to speak with you.

I would say it's more accurately several things, by now.

As the conversations die down and people begin to drift off, Zexion slips from the edge of the room, presence quiet as he pads over to Chrono, fingers curling over the clothing in his nape with all the delicacy of a mother cat retrieving an errant kitten.]

[Speaking of where you would be, the world around them is blurring into a rush of motion lines, the auditorium (and those inside it) suddenly significantly farther away.]

[One jump, and two, and three, and the world solidifies into the door to Apartment Y, which Zexion pushes open with comfortable familiarity.]

[. . . after a moment's consideration, he reaches down to scoop an arm under Chrono's legs, carrying him bridal-style into the room beyond.]

[... Okay. Okay yes. STRUGGLING IN EARNEST NOW.]

[Soft light spills out of the room ahead; the glow of two familiar memory pods, the people within still lost in sleep. The air smells oddly of . . . the ocean? Open water, and salt, and there's something else . . . ]

[He frowns and goes still after a few more struggles, not at his urgings, but more because... all of his senses are now trained on that corner of the room.]

['That corner' is certainly considerably changed from his last visit here. It's hard to see, being carried like this, but the memory pod that had held Tide's developing replica is completely gone. Where it had stood, the floor, even some of the walls have changed; surface smooth but organic, sheared planes of hexagonal crystals forming the basin of a shallow pool.

Zexion walks over to it and, without any fanfare at all, lowers Chrono into the liquid contained within.]
