[WELP, someone was a little fed up with the incessant yapping things, among other grievances. So he might have killed a few of them. And he might have gutted them and cut them up. And he might be nailing bits of one to your door, or to the hallway wall near your door.]

[ He'll feel a strange and confusing mix of sensations. Of course there's the pain of the bight- hot and bright and sharp. But beyond that it's hard to tell what's going on. Is he being bitten by the woman in the tattered dress? The pressure on his arm won't quite seem right for that, it's more like the tiny, needling teeth of the creatures he was slaughtering. His vision may swim, or he may stumble, dizzy and catch before him glimpses of a much larger beast with hair matted with blood and eyes campfire bright. ]

[He feels his head spinning, and disoriented he staggers into the wall. After a moment he fumbles a pistol out of his coat and takes a shot at the thing, but the bullet hits empty air -- aiming isn't a Thing that's happening right now]

[ It would be hard to anyway, with the figure so damn indistinct. The baying and yapping of the dogs sound muffled and distant and after only another quick moment, he is alone in the hallway. ]
