What: murder! and i guess bathing

[idk what YOU are doing, but slick has gotten tired of being holed up and has headed downstairs to clear the baths of any renegade bathmonkeys so that he can then enjoy himself in a warm hotspring

he is still at the part where here is trying to stab the suckers though]

Hmm. Well, that's good. Though it sounds like there is a 'but'.

It is not in my nature to be satisfied with what I have for long.

I have no fear of oblivion, so if I am to exist I must continue to justify that existence.

And people are obligated to justify their existence just because they don't fear death? I think it would make more sense to say "It's my life and I'll do what I want".

Doing what you want is just another way to justify your existence. A rather good way, in point of fact.

I suppose that's one way to see it.

I've never thought of existence as something that has to be justified at all. Things are or they are not. [hmmmm] Though I met a fellow recently who's been terribly concerned over the reason for his existence, so I suppose some people care.

I think that having a reason to exist is something that all people require. People like you just form their own reason more intuitively, rather than having to chase the answer. I might be a little jealous.

The fellow you met, what is his reason?

He doesn't have one, as far as I can tell. Rather, his existence conflicts with his reality, and he can't sort out why. It's a bit sad, I think. But more than a little interesting.

For someone so painfully lost he's very resistant to any. I think his majesty made him wary. What did you try?

I gave him some good advice. He seemed to think it was blasphemous of me to suggest.

I believe he may have also found my manners lacking.

I think he finds just about everything blasphemous. That's the problem with that religion.

It's awfully tedious as far as religions go, I must say. He looked at me like I was mad when I suggested he should try being actually happy.

Well. All his pleasure do seem to purely sinful. He can't seem to get his head around renouncing his faith.

Mmm. I suggested he get his empathy fixed. Even if he can't indulge without breaking his faith, I think being able to connect with other humans might give him a chance for happiness.

I don't know if he'll bite, though. I might have to harass him more...

Eh? Just because I'm not usually doesn't mean I'm incapable of it.

Girl, if he takes your advice he's just going to end up mad and miserable. ... Madder and miserabler.

If he stays as he is, there is no path he could take that would make him less than miserable. Not even indulgence would do anything beyond briefly distracting him from misery.

There's no point in him living if he does not at least have the barest chance of happiness.
