...but this... adventure won't be entirely without merit. Returning from death will be a legacy on it's own, and I will learn from the choices of the kings here.

Not quite accurate, but it does seem to not be entirely inaccurate either.

I don't want the exact details, or I will be tempted to treat the life of another as some sort of map. But I will also not forget that these things lead to that end.

I suppose it is hard to say. But if closing his heart led him to ruin I would think opening it would change the result.

I would think being alone so much in the first place is what lead to it. If a man has one support when he loses it then he has nothing. If he had more than one then the loss is still felt but it would not ruin him.

And if he never has any then his life will be barren.
