'Friend', 'pride', 'god killer'.

Not quite accurate, but it does seem to not be entirely inaccurate either.

I don't want the exact details, or I will be tempted to treat the life of another as some sort of map. But I will also not forget that these things lead to that end.

'Pinnacle', 'pride', 'friend', 'fall', 'solitude', 'god killer'.

I wonder. . . if this means you will hold yourself as alone as he does.

I have seen little reason to not.

That is his path of ruin.

[personal profile] epicracy 2012-06-01 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
You haven't spoken to me of a path that doesn't end in ruin.

[personal profile] familiarized 2012-06-01 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose it is hard to say. But if closing his heart led him to ruin I would think opening it would change the result.

Is it not opening is heart to be ruined what lead to it?

I would think being alone so much in the first place is what lead to it. If a man has one support when he loses it then he has nothing. If he had more than one then the loss is still felt but it would not ruin him.

And if he never has any then his life will be barren.

So you believe he should have had others.

[personal profile] familiarized 2012-06-02 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
It would have changed things.

Do you have others?

[personal profile] familiarized 2012-06-02 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
None like him, but yes, I do.

If . . .

It will not completely destroy me but I will never be the same.

Then according to your theory you need more.

[ cannot help but laugh a little ]

It is most likely true.

Betrayal is how I ended up here. I would not mind if I had died in battle, but to be turned on...

[personal profile] familiarized 2012-06-02 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
There is no way to know absolutely that you will never be betrayed, even by your own nature. So I do not worry about that.
