[Yuri is sitting out by the windows in the third floor common area, making what appears to be a trap of sorts out of some wood. that's not very remarkable, though it is a very well-made trap. What's remarkable is what he's using for bait: a plate of food.

and it is the most beautiful plate of food you've ever seen. the presentation, the color of the food—it's perfect, luscious. practically art. only a mad person would give something so beautiful and tasty looking to an animal. and yet, as he tests the tension in the trap, that's apparently what he's going to do...]

I'd hardly call the afterlife another planet. I meant the waiting in rooms. This is your first one?

I can believe a lot of things and trust me, I've had to. But you can't honestly expect me to believe that the place we go when we die is actually an alien planet. It doesn't make sense, we don't even have bodies anymore.

Whatever's out there doesn't prove anything. If there can be corridors and rooms, there can be an outside.

An outside of what? You can't possibly believe that any kind of afterlife, good or bad, would look like this shithole.

Yes, it's far more realistic that I've been kidnapped by soul-stealing aliens than that I'm still in the same place I was ten minutes ago.
