Yes or no. You've dealt with smug assholes before. Granted, they weren't yourself, but you should be able to pinpoint exactly why it bothers you so much.

It bothers me because I know exactly why he's saying what he does, because I know I would've said it in that position.

[drops his voice to a mutter] He wasn't in Sabra, he didn't go through all of that. He didn't have to investigate Kaito and Nakamori-san's murders. He's fine.

If you know why he's doing it, you of all people should know how to ignore it.

It's all perspective and experience. He didn't go through this or that, you think that or this way. Of course he's going to be a bit more stable, not having those experiences weighing down his shoulders. I'm asking if you think that's for the best--basically, I'm asking if you're jealous.

Badger, if I start thinking like a thief in front of him, he's going to shift his focus to figuring out why, and figuring out what I'm thinking, and it won't do a damn thing to help me in the end.
