[At approximately the 3 o'clock hour on day 40, there is a loud, odd noise, a bit like a party blower crossed with an explosion. On the wall in the common area you will find the large, irridescent words:]

Well done.

[And you might be somewhat taken with very obvious changes to the building in the north-east corner of the level 3 common area.

First off, it's low front wall has now been covered with a shining metal counter top, complete with indents and glass covers, rather like any mess hall food line. Beyond that you can see a fully formed, industrial grade kitchen. Metal counters for prep areas, shelving for storage, white ceramic plate, bowls, silverware and glasses. Shelves full of stainless steel pots and pans of every size and need, and drawers full of excellent cooking knives (but having come from Hok, they will instantly go dull if used for any purpose other than cooking). Bakeware can also be found, including sheet pans and bread pans, muffin trays and bunt pans.

Large appliances have been taken care of too. There are at least four large ovens, several gas stovetop burners and a large griddle that has a grill attachment. In the corner there is even a brick oven, perfect for wood fire baking. There are several deep sinks, for cleaning dishes and plenty of space to dry them. An entire shelf is full of bright, durable white towels for the task.

And, if you venture into the kitchen and to the back, you will discover walk in pantry, fridge, and freezer. The pantry has been generously stocked with spices, as well as some basic god given baking supplies: sugar, flour, cocoa, yeast, and so on.

Finally, just outside the kitchen itself, there are several long, mess hall style wooden tables.

Basically, Thusia, you have a fully stocked kitchen, with everything you need to feed the populace, minus the actual food and, of course, chefs.]

But... I don't have anything like that. I mean, I've got friends... Is that all I'm supposed to need?

Aaaagh! No, yer missing it completely!

I only focused on what I had and what I wanted!

It's when I just let something nice happen without expecting it or pursuing it that I saved the damn world! When I just let go of all the things that made me miserable to hang onto, I was able to become stronger than should have been possible!

...I...think I get it now...

[sigh]

I don't really know how to let go of things...

I died a horrible, searing burning death before I finally learned to let go of things.

Yeah, I've got one of those coming, too.

Don't ya see how much all this obsessing over things is leading ya to yer own destruction? Ya get it into yer head things gotta be this way, good or bad, and ya just doom yerself because ya won't go for what ya can get.

Do ya know how easy it is for me to see it happening?

I guess you can see it best out of everyone. I mean, even I can see how it's making me unhappy. But... I don't...really know how to do it.

[Sounding groggy] I'm here.

I was asleep. I didn't want to eavesdrop on something that sounded so personal. What is it?

Shadow wants me to learn to let go of things. But I don't know how.

That's right. And since I can't be around Becca all the time, I can't tell her to stop.

So I got a job for ya, Dante. This is for Becca's own good. If she gets caught up with her obsession, she'll destroy herself, and there is a risk of causing a lot of harm.

So whenever she starts obsessing over something bad, I want ya to tell her to stop. Aella, Lucky, if she goes on more than three sentences about them that's negative, stop her. If she starts bringing up bad things to justify her actions as being right and why she should do them, stop her. If she goes on for revenge, any kind, to the point it's risking the greater good, stop her. If she goes on how she has to accept something terrible happening to her because it's unavoidable, stop her.

She needs to learn to let go of the things that are making her miserable needlessly. And she needs to learn that it's good to stand up and fight when it is important.

So help her stop becoming dangerously obsessive. Which will make it hard to convince her, but ya gotta try anyway so we can avoid it being something that breaks her completely. Can ya do that for me, Dante?
