Who: You
When: Day 40, Early Afternoon
Where: Kitchen(= In the common area
What: Magic!
[At approximately the 3 o'clock hour on day 40, there is a loud, odd noise, a bit like a party blower crossed with an explosion. On the wall in the common area you will find the large, irridescent words:]
Well done.
[And you might be somewhat taken with very obvious changes to the building in the north-east corner of the level 3 common area.
First off, it's low front wall has now been covered with a shining metal counter top, complete with indents and glass covers, rather like any mess hall food line. Beyond that you can see a fully formed, industrial grade kitchen. Metal counters for prep areas, shelving for storage, white ceramic plate, bowls, silverware and glasses. Shelves full of stainless steel pots and pans of every size and need, and drawers full of excellent cooking knives (but having come from Hok, they will instantly go dull if used for any purpose other than cooking). Bakeware can also be found, including sheet pans and bread pans, muffin trays and bunt pans.
Large appliances have been taken care of too. There are at least four large ovens, several gas stovetop burners and a large griddle that has a grill attachment. In the corner there is even a brick oven, perfect for wood fire baking. There are several deep sinks, for cleaning dishes and plenty of space to dry them. An entire shelf is full of bright, durable white towels for the task.
And, if you venture into the kitchen and to the back, you will discover walk in pantry, fridge, and freezer. The pantry has been generously stocked with spices, as well as some basic god given baking supplies: sugar, flour, cocoa, yeast, and so on.
Finally, just outside the kitchen itself, there are several long, mess hall style wooden tables.
Basically, Thusia, you have a fully stocked kitchen, with everything you need to feed the populace, minus the actual food and, of course, chefs.]

Even gods fall, and these idiots are sure to be no different. They're idiots.
[It sure does sound like he wants them to fail.]

[So unimpressed.]
So what happens to ya when ya can't purify yer food supply?
no subject
Tch. What's that got to do with the gods inevitable fuck up? I never said I was going to try and make it happen.
[Even though I totally could. To be honest, Gary's not sure why he so badly wants this place to fail if he's obviously so reliant on it. Or maybe it's because he's so reliant on it. He doesn't feel like he's using them, like it should be. If this is how his life is going to be from now on, he'd rather see this whole place go up in flames. Right?
Ugh, all this thinking. SHADOW WHY ARE YOU MAKING HIM THINK ABOUT THIS?
Gary's demeanor visibly darkens.]
You're boring me now. [Though he sounds less condescending and more upset.]

But my statement from before still stands. If gods are known, there are people who wish to see them topple. Over and over and over. Some may even get close. That's happened in my world. Someone is a threat to the goddesses. And yet...he hasn't won yet. And he did go on that epic level adventure.
And it seems I bore ya when I challenge ya.

Face it. They're going to fail.
no subject
Gods? No, they're not. They survived whatever took out the humans.
Us? Probably not. The fact everyone here died, but still manage to go forward means they still intend to live. Which ups up their chances to me the kind of humans who are pretty much cockroaches and find all the ways to survive.

[Putting his hands up.]
Alright, fine. You're right. You've convinced me. I guess I'm just...confused. It's not every day you die and get revived by supposed gods, right?
[He's really just going through his bullshit "you're right" routine. Arguing is pointless and it's just pissing him off. And really, Gary has given himself away far more than he would have liked. He needs to start appearing more...normal? Yes, fine. That'll work.
Of course, as good as he is at bullshitting, Shadow has obviously proven to be immune to everything Gary.
Asshole.]

Oh, of course I haven't convinced ya, Gary, but who knows. Maybe it'll get through enough ya won't do something stupid.
Those accursed knight instincts, I suppose.
