[Look who's back from their nature exploration! Aside from both obviously being worn out and the bandage on Wander's leg, he and Edward seem to otherwise be unharmed.]

[There is a lot of nature stuck to Wander's sword, which he is kind of looking at now.]

Wander: Well, um, that was a good hunt.

Edward: It's too bad we don't have anything to show for it.

So, did we miss anything?

[It HAS been three days, after all.]

[She thinks she just missed Ed when she swung by. Since...no one said missing to her.]

Yeah! The meeting. Didn't you hear about it?

I did, when Kakashi was going around the apartments to get everyone's opinion on it. Ah, we left for nature right after that though, so...

...you were gone that long?!

Er, yes. It sure did not feel like it!

...those sort of things do tend to do that.

Hm? Have you gotten lost in nature as well?

Caves, actually. When I was younger.

Oh, ah. Yes, I heard about the caves...

[Nods.] It was a HUGE maze out of the main area.

That sounds awfully confusing.

It was. Even with phasing, I couldn't get out.

Phasing?

[Nods.] It's a skill I have. Go through stuff.

Is it like...magic?

....not really, but it could be mistaken for magic. It's a biological function of a ghost.

Biological?

Er, ghost?

Natural function of the body. Like breathing, that's a biological function.

Yep! Ghost. I'm half ghost.

...which gets into a really complicated bit of explanation for how that happens.

Oh, like, um..sci, er, science?

[He remembers Aoko mentioning biology and science.]

[Wait half ghost?]

You are half spirit? I did...not think that possible.

Yep!

And it's usually not. It's kind of a tricky thing to manage, only three fully stabilized exist.

Fully stabilized?

[Nods.] Because of how it works, there is an inherent instability in the DNA. When saying a halfa, a half ghost, is fully stabilized, it's saying that the DNA is stable enough that it doesn't fall apart while retaining the halfa traits.

If we're counting not fully stabilized, then the number goes up to seven.

[what did any of that mean?]
