... not really. Just getting some baseline rules and laws in this place. General consensus just from visiting around the different apartments seems to be positive in favor for a general meeting to establish this much.

I only meant, realistically, even if you were able to assist and Zhen Ji didn't have Hellions, there would still be people who would opt not to have part in things--and some have.

If you want to. Mostly, he was able to give me some insight on possibly trying to see if there's a way to limit the gods sticking their noses in on the meeting...

And either way you look at it, there will always be those types in society, no matter how much leeway is given or force is used. Hopefully, they'll come around before it needs to be the latter.

From what I've learned talking to some of them, they don't give a shit how we do things. Sparky will be pleased, Tattoos will be annoyed, but they aren't gonna interfere. They want to see what we do for ourselves. Dellen even went as far as to say she wouldn't interfere even if murderers got brought in. They're hands off.

[shrug] Maybe they'll be more interested in what I've got to offer. Outsider types.

Even if that's the case... conveying that to some of the people with more negative experiences with gods will be an issue to tackle at some point prior to the meeting, at the very least. I've already had more than a few people indicating that that's a concern--and not just from those from Sabra La Tau. Though Chrono from apartment M said that he would help with discussions on that front...

If I could afford to hardline it, I would, but there's every chance that that could put unneeded pressure on people who already feel pressured enough as it is.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for jackasses who are fine leaving this place lawless with murderers running around. One of them already got one of the people closest to me.

You don't have to be sympathetic. Just practical. Hardlining could spur people into acting against the whole process, rather than simply having no stance, which could lead to conflict and thus more murders. Not to mention that those who already have a hand in those things could take complete advantage of the conflict.

I've seen enough of that happen in my time to allow it to happen here.

More, I understand how you feel but that's not an approach I can take if I want to ensure this happens without further complications. Using "you" was more to relate than to order or complain.

In other words, I completely agree, but my hands are tied by the fact that I'm the one organizing this.
