[So out on that tree that's closest to the outside walkway, there is a branch about seven feet up from the platform. Currently, there is someone standing on it, a vine tied around his waist and connecting back to the treetrunk, and another tied around the branch. There also seems to be a knife sawing through the branch just past where his feet are... by itself. But not for long, thank goodness, because it jumps back to his hand. The branch could snap right off, doing stupid shit like that.

Which it might, considering he's now trying to break the branch in half with his foot.

As far as I know, Aegis draws strength from Ky to manifest physically, and in return she provides Ky with a measure of her own abilities. I'm not certain of the rest of the details of their pact. The Spirits in their world are autonomous unless they decide to pact with someone, and then they are able to negotiate the terms of their contract. They do not have anything like the command spells.

He is much easier to speak with as an adult. Though hopefully time and experience will mellow the younger as well.

I suppose that will depend on how quickly he adapts to this place.

Certainly. If you would like to begin with Ky, it might be good for him to have someone to train with.

Yeah, that sounds great. I have some experience with hand to hand, but not very much with weapons.

And unfortunately hand to hand is a dangerous way to fight in this place. I would like to begin training today probably. A lot of it will deal with muscle tone until you've built up enough strength to use the staffs effectively. You can begin doing push up and sit ups in the mornings and evenings.

Tell me about it. Luckily I have some other resources too, but this isn't like being prepared back home at all.

I doubt you will have to worry about coming to harm in any case.
