Couple in already when I got there. Talked to a lady outside. Didn't look like she was gonna bother with him. Left him with a kid. Didn't stick around to see if any more showed up.

I kinda hoped this place would be different.

This place is whatever the people make it. If this is how the people would choose how to resolve these situations, it will quickly become the sort of place that you once knew.

What's done is done. The most we can do for now is manage the fall-out that's bound to come about from those choices made.
