[ Meanwhile the honeydillo has finished off some mantis-bugs and is trucking its way over, snuffling at the plant. ]

[ whatevs, honeydillo is going to start clawing at the moss around it. Which makes the plant shake harder. ]

[steps back a little, watching]

[ The creature starts making loud, chittery noises as it claws; man that plant is going crazy. ]

[trying to peer over the honeydillo to see what it's digging for]

[ There seems to be something red buried under all that moss... ]

Hey, what is that?

Dunno, dude, maybe we can distract this thing and find out.

[hooolds out the flower again? :D?]

Hey, buddy, want a treat?

[ It gives a snort and keeps digging. Honeydillo don't want no flower. ]

[opens one of the packs on his arm and opens the packaging on one of his powerbars. breaks off a piece and hands it to Robin] Try this.

[crouches down to honeydillo level, YOU KNOW YOU WANT SOME POWERBAR]

Hee~eey, look what I've got...

[ It snuffles at the air then wags its tail a bit, which would be cute if you ignore the fact that there's axe-pick like bones at the end of its tail and it just wagged a hole into the ground. But whatever, cute honeydillo is trodding its way over to food. ]

[no, it's still pretty cute. then again, I have very poor self-preservation skills. breaking it into smaller chunks and making a ~~breadcrumb~~ powerbar trail to lead it awaaaay from the moss]

[working quickly to dig up whatever it was the honeydillo was checking out]

[ You manage to dig up what looks like a deep red potato! ]

[KEEPS LOOKING AROUND THE MOSS while visions of french fries dance in his head~]

[... running out of powerbar, but he's doing his very best to lead it out of the room...]

[ At your cries of victory, the stalk of the plant gives a violent shiver and changes color to red; at the same time that potato you were eyeing, along with several others, pop out of the ground and begin... running from you. Very very fast. ]

[ If you manage to look at one closely you'll see that it has very stubby growths on is legs that resemble legs, but maybe you should be more invested in catching them because they sure are running around like headless chicken. ]

[very very fast isn't a problem for me! snatching up as many as possible]

[takes it off and tosses it your way. it's all very dramatic.]

[ Hungry hungry honeydillo has decided to wander off to find more food. Enjoy your potatoes. ]

[let's see if i can juggle an armful of leggy potatoes while trying to get a cape tied off into a bag for them...]

We need to get a real bag to take out with us next time. But for now? We're having french fries for dinner.
