Two Gilgameshes. From the Fourth War there are two Lancers, Lancer's Master, and Rider's Master.

I'm not sure. They're different in experience. One of the Gilgameshes does not recall what I do [ I-IRRITATED ] Though the other is definitely the one I know. One of the Lancers is a woman . . . and Rider's Master got [ . . . uh ] Old.

What else is different? What happened at the end of the Fourth War?

I gave the command seals over to Kirei. After my father died I gave up being a Master in the Fourth War. He said that 'A lot of things happened, none of them particularly glorious' and that your Master had you destroy the Grail.

. . . and then there was contaminated Grail mud, which is what caused the fire and tragedy. [ eyebrows knit together a little ] And that's also why Gilgamesh was still around, for those ten years between the wars.

Did something similar happen? I would hope, perhaps, it would have turned out better somewhere else . . .

No, but at least the Holy Grail was destroyed once and for all. And if Shirou was able to defeat Archer then... that's good enough.

A lot of our energy in the Fifth War was exterminating the Matous. During that time Kirei and Gilgamesh had their own agenda . . . I should have seen it coming, really. They almost succeeded in letting 'that' out of the Grail . . .

A lot of power was needed to put it back in. [ a bit of a shrug ] Archer and I were the most powerful then, so it wasn't a question.
