[Okay this is getting past the point of being able to block it out and remind herself that her mother's done it to her before. She's openly sobbing now, and panting heavily for breath.]

[Luna places her hands on top of Becca's head, kissing her forehead, and then everything goes black.

It feels weightless as Becca finds herself in that void, an undefined silhouette slowly taking shape before her. Luna is not there, but her voice rings clear]

[The silhouette fills out clearly, a tall man with purple hair, looking similar to the way she always pictured vampires]

[That inhuman beauty, those only subtly pointed fangs, that gentle shine from his skin... Becca is amazed immediately.]

That's because you can't 'just deal'. You need to have coping mechanisms, reasons to keep you strong, things to fight for... You could live with it before because you wanted to keep your brother safe, and you kept going because you knew one day you'd fall into that water. [:T] I wouldn't suggest anything like that again, but they're how you got yourself through the day. You can take it one day at a time.
