If I said lover it would be technically inaccurate, and would likely cause you to bury so far beneath the blankets we might have to send another search party out.

On the other hand, boyfriend seems a bit casual and fiance is reserved for marriage which I doubt there are traditions or interest, generally. Which leaves significant other and that seems oh... so evasive.

Something of a paradox... Or rather a different state of relations.

There it was the only way to safely get close to people... before that, it was the only way to speak at all...

But, here it is a reminder of when once, I was one of those who held you upon our whims. As much as I cannot do what Aidan has, and take a new name... Neither do I want to pretend to be upon some level that I am not.
