I don't mind. I think being here... shouldn't ruin every good memory we have.

What did Agro look like?

He was black -- he had the shiniest coat I have ever seen. And he had a white diamond shape on his face. He was different from all the other horses in the village -- he always stood out. We had that in common.

He certainly does sound distinctive. How long did you know him?

[slayerofgiants]

About...eight years, I believe. My father brought him home when I was twelve. He saw him running from something in the forests just outside the village -- he was hurt.

Was it bad? What had hurt him?

Fortunately it was just a cut on his leg. Um, my father says he saw, uh -- something in the distance...watching him. We believe whatever that was is what hurt Agro.

It's good that he was all right. Did you ever find out what it was?

Uh, father says it was, um, a monster. Not many people believed him. I do, though! He would never lie about that.

Are monsters very rare where you come from?

[slayerofgiants]

Well. They are rumored to live deep in the forest surrounding my village, but...not everyone believes that. I sure didn't until father told me he saw one -- the one that attacked Agro, I mean.

People can be pretty skeptical of things they never get to see, that's normal.

Yes, I know. [rubbing the back of his head] I wish they did not call him crazy, though.

They did just for that?

Some of them did, yes.

Well, that's just overreacting. If there are rumors and hints, of ourse some people will believe them!

Besides, my dad was a very well respected blacksmith. His weapons and armor saved many lives -- they owed him at least a chance to prove himself!
