Who: Apt E, Ikki, Visitors
When: Day 29, Morning
Where: Apt E
What: AMBITION!!!!
[A little earlier this morning a tense and fidgety Pyxis was dragged over and relegated to pillow duty for a certain set of sharks. A little unusual, but not the most unexpected thing to have ever happened. Nova's approval, on the other hand . . . That's definitely something strange.
As the the various members of the apartment finish with their breakfasts (and mid-morning naps) he straightens up with an eager, overconfident grin.]
Hey, what do you guys think of making a country of our own?

Leaving aside that that would likely be a better starting point given the potential fluidity of territory, the ability to include or exclude on a selective basis, and the fact that those here are entirely reliant on this world's gods, I would like you to remember this is barely my third morning here, and my second was spent facing the death of my entire people and the world I loved.
. . . I know what it is to not have a home. To have an origin, even a family, but no place of your own. And I fault neither your ambition nor your desire to build one yourself, even if it means carving it out with your own hands.
But if you would use Gilbert for that foundation, please come to know him well enough so as to tell, on your own, when you are presenting him with a choice to which he has no actual ability to say 'no'.
If you would make him your family, at least try, first, to be his friend.

We don't need him to make our own country. We can do it on our own without forcing anything on him. I already fucking told him we're going ahead without him, so what more do you want from me? Do you want me to fucking stop? Wait for him to get over shit so you two can get your shit in order and handle this for us while things keep getting worse around here?
We can make our own foundation. And, like I fucking said already, that's what we're going to do. If you want us to get to know him while we do fine. We'll do that.
But if you say one more time that all of that means I'm using him, then I'm gonna punch your teeth in. I know you're used to me being some other way, but I can't believe any other me would really try to use the friend of one of his own teammates without any fucking consideration for how that teammate felt about it.
Have a little more faith in me, Zexion.

That was said that right as we were discussing Ikki, not Gilbert.

I should likely not be conversing about breakfast in this state, let alone politics. That much is no fault of yours.

. . . I am not 'used to you being some other way'.

I did not see you again, after that place.

It is your choice, Nova. It should be your choice—knowing of a past you do not remember is no easy thing, and I will say nothing else of it unless you wish me to.
