[A little earlier this morning a tense and fidgety Pyxis was dragged over and relegated to pillow duty for a certain set of sharks. A little unusual, but not the most unexpected thing to have ever happened. Nova's approval, on the other hand . . . That's definitely something strange.

As the the various members of the apartment finish with their breakfasts (and mid-morning naps) he straightens up with an eager, overconfident grin.]

It's kind of creepy with Zexion . . . He got all soft on some other me that probably hadn't even gone to Sabra yet. You know there's no way I'm that guy now, right? But he still treats me like . . .

[also lowering his voice]

. . . no, I get it. He . . . Prussia, I feel like he's expecting someone different, and - I'm not that guy. I can't be him.

You definitely got it worse . . . At least Zexion knew me in Sabra too.

[helpless look, even if he forces a laugh]

How the fuck do I even deal with that.

If you hate it this much, then fucking reject him. Don't sulk around about it.

Then have the guts to accept him. And either learn about the guy he was so attached or beat him down any time he expects too much from you. You're supposed to be a leader, yeah? Put that leader's spine to use.

I think it's creepy too, but this level of being bothered by it is pathetic to watch.

[tenses up, but doesn't lean away]

[looking levelly at him]

Well? Those are your choices, and you already said you can't reject him. If all you're going to do instead is sit around feeling creeped out and uneasy about it, then what kind of pathetic excuse for a Pyxis are you?

. . . I need time to think about it, without everything being shoved down my damn throat. I ain't rejecting him, though - I know that much.

. . . I think I'll take that nap now.

[snorts]
