[ It takes a while and a hard object to crack open the nut, but eventually it falls open. Inside kind of looks like a trail mix party. There's several different types of deshelled nuts that resemble peanuts, pecans, almonds, and more all mixed in together inside the larger shell. ]

[Well, not deku, but that is pretty good.]

[Fiiiine, I'll be a good gatherer. Taking off the hat and cutting down some more of those nuts to put in it. And some of the blue leaves too, who knows, that could be some sort of mediciny thing.]

[ You have a hat of blue nuts and leaves, congrats. Where to now, mighty warrior? ]

[Heading further on down the hall.]

[ You start to reach the end of the hallway; you also may notice something big and black slipping around the corner as you get closer... ]

[Movement is something to pay attention too. He pauses before moving closer to the wall, to keep the direction of attack to a minimum. He'll move closer, paying attention to any movement, especially to the shadows.]

[Hey, he'd attack from the shadows while he's a black thing and he can see in the dark spots anyway.]

[Hopefully this is a good chance to see just what's been done to him.]

[ You reach the end of the hallway to find a... bigger hallway? There's also another hallway identical to the one you're standing in on the opposite side, but that's probably not as noticeable as the rock flying at you from your right the moment you poke your head out of the hallway. ]

[He was expecting more...slashy doom, but did the thing really...]

Did you just throw a ROCK at me? [REALLY?]

[fuckingnature]

[ I sure did. I also sure am a big fluffy black bird behind staring back at you. To be more precise, it's something that looks the size and shape of a really big ostrich, but it's completely black with blue and green feathers here and there. ]

[ It's also kicking another rock at a rather worrying high speed at you. ]

[wajeiww ducking back around the corner.]

[Stupid, cocky bird.]

[Right, it's a bird. Birds are annoying because of speed and height. Still, he's not running from a BIRD. Can't use darkness, but he doesn't want to get beamed by a rock.]

[So he'll just need to get close, wrangle the thing, and hope it's not like a Cuckoo. But first, an opening. He'll pull out a branch and stick it around the corner to wait for the rock to come.]

[ The rock that flies by pretty much snaps that branch in half easily... ]

[And that's an opening. As soon as the branch is hit, he's around the corner, running low to the ground, watching the bird, watching for the next rock is he can't close the distance in time.]

[ The bird's kicking out an absolute flurry of rocks now; better dodge fast! ]

[Do you one even better. Now to really test the endurance of his abilities.]

[And who knows, maybe turning into a swirly mass of shadows and just flowing around the rocks will throw off the bird to get in a good strike with the sword when he reforms in range.]

[ The moment you swing that sword, the bird brings up its leg, catching your sword... in its talons?! And immediately kicking out with that same leg; the force of the kick is like getting hit with a wrecking ball. ]

[...really quick bird.]

[AND THEN THERE'S PAIN and goes back several feet. What the, it was just-]

[He's pushing himself up, trying to ignore the pain because he can't be still, you can't be still in battle, but still...] Ya have to be kidding me. [NORMAL THINGS CAN HURT HIM?! Because that certainly wasn't a burning light thing.]

[ Using those awesome abilities might leave you feeling pretty weakened too. Hopefully not weak enough to dodge those rocks being kicked your way. ]

[Oh, this is gonna funtimes. Pain and feeling weak from just that.]

[Stupid incompetent gods...]

[But pushing himself back to his cover, though another rock catches him in the side before he makes it and it's more of a flomp back around the corner instead of proper dodging.]

[ The rocks, at least, seem to stop coming once he's back around that corner. ]

[Yeah, doesn't mean the thing is gone. Listening for movement as he pulls himself together again.]

[ There's the shuffle of something walking over plants, but it seems to be moving away, not towards. ]

[So the question is, what do I listen to. Pride or self preservation?]

[...screw it, I've discovered I can feel normal attacks and I can't maintain things as long, that's good enough to figure out other things I need to know. No interest in being pelted by more rocks from a bird.]
