Who: Just Tyr and Rita!
When: Day 26, Early morning
Where: Apt. F, Room 2
What: Talking about consequences of alternative fuel sources.

[ By this point, it wasn't even surprising that Rita had fallen asleep almost immediately after laying down, but that still didn't exactly feel right. It's been over two weeks since they arrived, and it hasn't been any easier for him to sleep like this. First thing in the morning, he nudges her shoulder to wake her up. ]

Rita-

[Rita's sleeping the past couple weeks has been deep and dreamless, and this one is no exception, especially with the magic she used yesterday. Absorbing life from some of the monsters can only contribute so much...

She keeps her eyes closed as she groggily replies to being woken up now.]

What...What is it?

[ And he knows how much using magic tires her out, so he tries to speak gently to sort of coax her to wakefulness. ]

It's morning. Are you still tired?

[She groans in complaint, but it's just her usual grumbling--she feels pretty rested herself.]

I could've slept forever.

[It's meant to be a joke, as she stretches and pushes herself up sleepily.]

I wouldn't be surprised the way you fall asleep...

[ He pushes himself up beside her, but more so he can look her in the eye. He's been awake for a few minutes already. ]

[She looks right back at him, blinking the last of the sleep from her eyes. She vaguely feels like he's getting at something.]

Well, we were busy yesterday. Weren't you tired?

[Also I'm heading to sleep now! Good night! ♥]</small.

Yeah... [ Any maybe he's being irrational--no, that can't be right. ] But it's not the same for you, is it? You're always like this now.

[ Good night! /o/ ]

[And Rita is a terrible liar at times like this. Her eyes widen in understanding, but then she looks off to the side, feigning innocence. Poorly.]

L-like what, exactly?

[Thaanks~ And morning! \o\]

[If she weren't such a bad liar, Tyr could have actually believed her there. He won't even try to sound casual or gentle.]

You know what. It's not normal to sleep like that-

[ Good morning!! /o/ ]

[And maybe she should give in since they both know, but Rita's stubbornly holding to the idea that it's not so bad.]

What, sleep soundly all night? I thought that was supposed to be normal.

[Morning!! ♥]

[Bitterly:] You now that's not what I mean. You didn't even sleep that easily back in the City; it's not normal.

[ ♥~ ]

[She sets her jaw stubbornly, though she finally turns to face him again.]

Fine. But I'm sleeping normally now, so what does it matter? I rest and get my energy back. There's nothing else to it.

You shouldn't be losing that much energy in the first place. [It's getting hard to keep the fear from creeping into his voice now.] Someday you won't just be sleeping.

[She figured he'd be worrying again. She sighs a bit, but tries not to get moody on him.]

It hasn't been any different since I started. I'm not using enough to make it worse.

[He almost wants her to be moody. It feels like she's brushing him off now.]

Yes, you are. There has to be long-term effects to this.

[She is--not really intending to, but she's trying not to be concerned.]

You don't know that. I'm telling you, I'm fine.

[Then he'll just come out and say what he's thinking.]

You can't be fine when you're killing yourself! It's going to wear away at you.

[It tears away some of her patience, and she crosses her arms.]

I'm not killing myself! I know what I'm doing!

[And Tyr...doesn't even try to stay calm.]

You never did this before now! How can you know what you're doing?!

[She snaps right back at him-]

Who do you think I am?!

Someone who never tried to kill herself for magic!

Shut up! I'm not dying!

You're taking away your own life. That's exactly what dying is!

And I get it back by sleeping! So I'm fine!

How do you know you're even getting it back?!

What makes you think I'm not?!
