[Becca has carefully and neatly drawn the alphabet for Kidale, as well as a few simple words that begin with each letter. She promised him they'd work together on this, so here goes. Plus, spending time with the boyfriend is always awesome.]

Not too bad? It's hard to keep track of whose memories are whose sometimes, but that's a different thing.

Then you'll learn this just fine.

We'll start here. This one's A. [She points it out.]

A for apple, armour, and Amy. That's a common girl's name from my world, and it's easy to learn.

[She draws pictures next to the words.]

There's an A in Becca, too. At the end.

[She's written 'Becca' under B, but points out the A in it at the end.]

Wait, that can't be right. It's "a" and "uh?"

That's cause it's a vowel. Vowels are letters that make two sounds, a long sound and a short sound. Long is 'a' like Amy, and short is 'ah' like Becca. There's only five of them, so don't worry about it.

A, E, I, O, and U. There's a vowel in every word, so it won't take you long to get used to them.
