[Late god is late]
Who: Game players and observers
When: Day 22, afternoon
Where: New and improved shrine room
What: Kain's idea of fun.
[If you've managed to remember to drop in the shrine room, you'll notice Kain's shrine is missing. In its place are five tables with an assortment of ball shaped slots with names written in each hole. Each table has a number labeled in the wood along with locked boxes placed neatly on the tables. If you find your name in a ball slot, you can place the ball you received yesterday into the corresponding slot. This will trigger your box to unlock and you will be able to receive your usable item. Above everything, a screen with instructions hangs in midair.]
Thank you for coming. Each table corresponds with the new friends that you will be working with today. Each of you will receive an item with which you will use with your team members to create a device to capture the creature shown below. Extra special prizes will be awarded based on: creativity in carrying out the mission, effectiveness of the trap and overall teamwork. THERE ARE NO PUNISHMENTS FOR FAILURE. You have 3 hours.
Please enjoy yourself, learn something about each other, and have fun!

[A bowl of balls is placed at the side of the door for anyone who wants to join in.]
[OOC: I will NOT be around in every thread but if you comment to the 'ball-in' thread, I will let you know what is the secret item your character has received. If you did not sign up on Thursday, but would still like to play, e-mail me and I'll add you to a team!
THE OOC DUE DATE FOR THIS POST/GAME IS TUESDAY MIDNIGHT PST...Please have your team's result (or lack of) posted to the TURN IN thread before 7AM PST (when I wake up) to have it counted towards prizes. An ENDGAME/PRIZE post will be thrown up tomorrow morning, barring the world coming to an end.]

Re: [AND OVER HERE]
[eats another popcorn '-']
I think that's completely fine.
Re: [AND OVER HERE]
So it looks like.
Xing is a nation made up of more than fifty different clans, and a daughter of the chief of each clan is sent to the Emperor to bear a child. Like I said, I'm the twelfth in line of succession and the Yao clan's Prince, but the Emperor has had twenty-four sons and nineteen daughters.
You can probably imagine that with that many people who can claim the throne, things are a little tense. Lately especially, the Emperor's health took a turn for the worse, so of course, each clan tried to milk his favor. After some research, I found out a suitable offering to push my clan's status up and seize the throne for myself. That part of the story is too long to get into, but I managed to get my hands on it, and returned to Xing with it along with one of my retainers, and the princess of the Chang clan.
But the moment we set foot in our country again, we were ambushed. I'm used to assassination attempts, but all three of us were worn down. Me and Ran Fan held off the assassins, and I entrusted my offering to May Chang in exchange of a promise to keep my clan safe.
I can't refer to myself as the future Emperor of Xing any longer, but at least in Edward's timeline I made it.
Re: [AND OVER HERE]
(So he's from Edwards world?!)
Woah. . .! Finally meeting your goal only to be taken down at the very last stretch. Jeeze, that's awful. At least you know your people will be taken care of, assuming this Chang girl was trustworthy.
Re: [AND OVER HERE]
[and it's my turn to take popcorns now]
You got out of Sabra, so how about you? How did you end up here...?
Re: [AND OVER HERE]
I was just the victim of a cheap shot after a trial. Defense attorneys aren't all that popular, no matter what world you live in.

A lawyer?

Re: [AND OVER HERE]
Hahahah...! Going to jail would be troublesome, I'm going to try to stay out of legal troubles.
Re: [AND OVER HERE]
(It's probably a good thing a legal system hasn't been established here yet.)
T-that would be the best thing to do, overall, yes!
--HEY!! Look! Were they just apologizing? [TACTFUL CHANGE]
Re: [AND OVER HERE]
Ah? Does that mean they're finally done?
