Who: Alma, Kanda, and Lenalee [Closed.]
When: Day 19, night
Where: Apartment D
What: This bed isn't big enough for the three of them, guys.

[Another day, another handful of grievous injuries/moping around the apartment! It's all very taxing, so tonight Kanda and Lenalee are nicely crashed out on the only bed in the bedroom. This would be fine if not for the fact that apparently other!Kanda is wont to kick Alma out of their bed, thus leaving only one other place for him to go.]

[Or at least, Kanda's trying to sleep. It's a little light with how he keeps scratching his hands during it.

How distracting.]

[suddenly, CREEPY SHADOWS MOVING as a light source enters the room]

[Da-duhn. Da-duhn...

Lenalee would be telling Kanda off rash scratching if she weren't currently trying to ignore it and the way his movement keeps jarring her. Rolls over so her back is to him, maybe kicking him a little in the process, then smushes her face into the pillow. She is. Not awake enough to pay attention to the sudden creepy glow.

MOVE SILENTLY, ALMA.]

[Grunts, pulling his hands back and rolling over to squish them under him. He is also currently oblivious to sneaky stalkers and their portable night-lights, more occupied with stopping the itching.]

[of course I'm moving silently. I wouldn't want to wake anyone up!]

[Except then the mattress is sinking slightly... AS IF SOMETHING JUST GOT ONTO THE BED WITH YOU...]

[So considerate! Really, he's being cautious enough that if Lenalee were any normal girl, she probably wouldn't even notice the slight dip in the mattress. Unfortunately for Alma, however, she is not a normal girl.

SITTING BOLT UPRIGHT and oh, holy shit the room is aglow and there's something right there and she doesn't know what but it's definitely something— scooting backwards right into Kanda right about now.]

[NO WHAT ARE THESE DISTURBANCES shifts over with further grumpy sounds.]

Stop it. [Squirms a hand free to reach blindly to shove at Lenalee--]

[--Oh that's not Lenalee.

Jerks up as well.]

S-sorry! Sorry, sorry...

[Reaches out to try to pet them reassuringly. THIS VOICE IS THE MOST PLAINTIVE VOICE IN THE UNIVERSE]

Yuu kicked me out of bed. Can I sleep with you guys tonight...?

[There's too much happening at once, here. The petting makes her jolt; she might possibly elbow someone like this. She scoots back even more, nearly toppling over the edge of the bed, only stopping when she places that voice.]

Alma?

[Good lord, his face looks downright demonic in this half-light.]

[Grabs for the wrist of whatever's petting hi--oh it's Alma.] What?

[coming with my own backlight = entire face is heavily shadowed in uncanny ways. Winning!]

I didn't mean to wake you guys...

[IT IS A LITTLE TERRIFYING. The sort of thing that Lenalee usually sees in nightmares (living or otherwise).]

We tend to be light sleepers, Alma...

[Lets go of his wrist and sits up more properly. Scratches at his hand.] Why are you coming into our bed?

Lonely and itchy and...

[needy...]

I'll be quiet, I promise.

...I...

[Looks at Kanda??]

... Can't you sleep on the couch? [COMPASSION and he already doesn't like sharing his bed with one person.]

I'd offered that to the other Lenalee...

Ah, hnnnn... If it's a problem I'll just go back and wait until the other Yuu is asleep.

[Excuse me, "your" bed? It is "their" bed until further notice.

Her expression freezes up a bit at the mention of the second Lenalee, although thankfully, Alma's halo makes everyone's facial expressions look a little strange. That isn't to say she's not having trouble imagining Alma sleeping with them, either, because she is.

How are they all supposed to fit?

Still:] No, you can stay.

[Oh, right, other Lenalee. Opens his mouth to speak, because maybe he can--

--Hey.] We don't have room for three people.

I'll sleep on the edge...?

I'll take the floor.

[Giving Kanda a reproachful look, not that he'll be able to tell. She remembers what Alma said— "Yuu is the most important person"— and isn't about to come between that. If nothing else, she can bully a spot in the bed outside. Kandas are whipped.]

I...

... All right. [FLOPPING BACK INTO BED.]

[You just decided it was too much work to continue this discussion, didn't you]

Ehh, I don't want to make you sleep on the floor...

[Already reaching down to grab her Exorcist coat and roll it up into a pillow, kind of ignoring Kanda's dramatic flop.]

It's fine, I don't mind.

[More like he got close enough to what he wanted. Pulls the covers back up and scratches at his hands some more. Stupid rash.]

[rubbing his own arms too, aggravatedly]

Ah... no, if it's like that, the other Yuu will at least accept you there, Lenalee... and he's not itchy. Maybe we could treat this like a quarantine just for tonight.

It sounds to me that he's already in a bad mood, if he kicked you out of bed, so I'll just stay here. It's fine, really.

[At least on the floor she won't have to deal with Kanda's constant shuffling around to itch at himself.]

[Just listen to these two do it all night (and probably annoy each other in the process).] She says it's fine so go to bed.

If you're sure... sorry to be a nuisance.

[Climbs in instead and immediately attempts to sidle as close to Kanda as he can without actually touching]

It's okay, Alma. Honestly. [Reassure, reassure, reassure. She clambers off the bed as he climbs in, setting her rolled-up coat perpendicular to the head of the bed so that neither of you step on her getting up in the morning.

Oblivious to Alma's attempts to snuggle Kanda minus actual physical contact.]

[Curling up and either oblivious to or ignoring Alma's attempts, in favor of squishing his hands under him again and trying to get back to sleep.]

[oblivious works for Alma. CLOSE ENOUGH.

Until he rubs his arms on Kanda in a hope of scratching their itch, anyway]

[Did you know? Bedsprings are pretty loud when you sleep with your head right next to them and the people on top are squirming around.]

[UGH rolls over onto his stomach. Stop that.]

[now has an arm draped on you and didn't even mean to]

[STAYS LIKE THAT]

[Whatever as long as you're not itching on him.

Squirms and tries to get back to sleep.]

[congratulations, you have lucked into the one thing that's likely to keep Alma still despite the fact that his arms are so itchy he wishes they'd fall off: Cuddles that would likely end if he squirmed too much.

and that's kind of pathetic.

But regardless, he holds still through sheer force of will now that he has an arm around Kanda.]
