[Something smells delicious over in apartment L. There are a several plates broad leaves lined up on the counter, each piled high with still steaming lizagon meat and various sauces (sweet and sour, sweet and spicy, spicy).]

It seems that if they didn't purify nature, we would perish. Though one could say they are acting on their own interest.

Naturally, there is nothing wrong about acting on one's interest, if only it doesn't harm the interest of others too deeply. Which I fear would be the case if they had poisoned the plants and animals to keep us dependent.
