Even so, this version of me has people to beg for forgiveness to. Knowing some other me made it is comforting, but if I could get away with just that, that'd be cheap.

It's fine. It would be disgraceful for me not to accept my death, and I've already had some sense beaten into me today. So I'm all right. But I didn't become Emperor, and I'm not going to turn my eyes away on that.

I'm not as quick or agile as I was when I was younger, but I didn't stop practicing either. I haven't been in a real fight in ages, but if there's a need, I should be okay.

We don't have beds either, or I'd tell you to stay in Apartment N for a night. And it's probably best if I don't push it too much with my roommate.

I guess it's my age. With all I've seen and done, and with the kids and grandkids, I suppose I just calmed down somewhere in all that time.
