If you're here, then you died; even an idiot can't deny that kind of evidence.

But what I meant by that is, in the stories you don't die. You're presumed dead for a while, but you live a long life - well into retirement.

With all due respect, sir, I'm well aware of why you did it. You wouldn't risk your own life for either of those things.

You never know. It's one thing to read about it.

And it's another to really understand what's going on rather than enjoying a simple detective story.
