I don't smoke, so I'm not entirely sure, actually. But it seems like the kind of thing you could get from another one of them, if that's the case.

Just checking. I'm running out.

How long have you been here?

There might be a plant in this world that's similar to tobacco. I haven't exactly gone looking for one, yet.

Ah... I've lost track. I got here pretty early, when we only had part of the third floor available for living space. It must have been... more than four months, by now.

Hah, I hope so. I've managed to arrive here with all my bad habits intact, so I'd like to keep it that way...

That's fairly long. Do you consider this place your home?

*shakes his head*

More of a temporary stop on my way back there.

So you think you'll find a way to get out?

[nometal_alchemist]

...I think, when I die here, I'll return to my proper afterlife and be reunited with my family there.

Oh? Any evidence?

Mm... all I've got is the knowledge that, if enough of us believe it, the gods can be reshaped and it will become truth.

How do you know that?

[nometal_alchemist]

Lavi heard it from one of the gods here. And the history of some of them shows that they have altered their domains in the past. So the belief that the one ruling the domain of death will release the souls of those who don't belong to this plane, and return them to their own, should bring about that result. Though it's admittedly hard to test, I don't see any reason to not try it.

Sounds a little shaky to me, but I'll take your word for it.

Mm, the more people who believe it, the more solid it'll get. Or at least, that's the idea. It gets a little strange dealing with gods.

How will we know if it works?

I suppose we won't, really, unless someone finds a way to peer into the afterlife here and see who's present and who isn't. But then, I don't even know for a fact what kind of afterlife my own world has, I just have to believe it does.
