[With the rain still pouring on and off all day, new arrivals will have to stick to touring the HQ. At least there's still some excitement to be had, what with all the lizagons returning to roost to avoid the rain. Try not to annoy them when you make your way down to Level 1]

No. I know. Why am I here? This doesn't look like a place I deserve to be.

I don't think the gods are that picky.

I don't understand what they are, exactly. I've never really heard of 'gods'. Some of the kids would talk about demons, but those were just things to scare each other with and legends people made up a long time ago.

They're like the really powerful spirits. Not that I met many of those myself, but some of the people I hung around with back home did all kinds of spiritual stuff.

But these gods aren't exactly shy; they talk to anyone.

Do you have to talk to them?

You can always get someone else to do it. There's plenty of people around here.

[ He pushes himself to stand upright, still feeling overwhelmed, but talking has calmed him, at least enough that he can keep himself together. ]

Like people took groups of rooms in a big building and made them like tiny houses inside. I'd show you mine, but I don't do things like decorate. Or bother with things like lights.

Decorations aren't essential, but why not lights?

They don't do much for me.

I guess they are not technically a necessity.
