You're new here. You'll get used to it again, bit by bit.

Until then, sunrise and sunset are nice. It's not so bright then. And nighttime, too . . . blindfolds help a little, if you have to go out anyway. Or even just . . . if you want to.

Even if I should go blind here from going into sunlight so bright now, I would not mind. So I would rather bask in the sun as it is now than wait to acclimate.

It's a really common thing here.

If you like heights . . . it's hard to see, but there's a dome over this whole area. You can sit on the upper beams there, and nothing really bothers you.

Haha, I don't think being blinded would lend well to that but it is a challenge I may take up at a later time.

Either will seem unreal to me until I can see it. So if I go blind, it would be a shame in that sense, but I think I will risk it.

It's also all the more easy to take care of someone who isn't the least bit wary. Fortunately, we both have that in spades.

It's warm. I thought you had said it had snowed?

It did. But it all melted last week.
